ITINERARY

09:00 hrs              Meet the local guide at hotel lobby.

09:30 hrs              Arrive at Suan Pak Kard Palaces, Thailand’s first museum and a cluster of 5 traditional teak houses that used to be the home of the Royal Highnesses Prince and Princess Chumbhot Nagara Svarga. The palace contains a showcase of the royal private collection of antiquities, passing down from generations through generations. Take a walk along the hallway of the palace through the Lacquer Pavilion, the Ban-Chiang Museum (Thai heritage), and Marsi Gallery.

10:30 hrs              Depart of Jim Thompson museum, a unique example of Thai residential architecture filled with one of the finest collections of Asian arts and antiques. Located along a canal in the city center, this beautiful teak mansion was the former residence of Jim Thompson, the charismatic American silk merchant. Comprised of several traditional teak buildings amid a leafy compound, Thompson spent years filling it with priceless antiques before his mysterious disappearance in 1967. You will take a tour through the house where you will learn more about the man himself, his involvement in the silk trade as well as about Thai culture and tradition

12:00 hrs              Lunch at Jim Thompson restaurant (OPTIONAL)

13:00 hrs              Proceed to the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) is a new mid-town facility for the contemporary arts. Programmers  for art, music, theatre, film, design, and cultural/educational The BACC aims to create a meeting place for artists, to provide cultural programmes for the community giving importance to cultural continuity from past to contemporary.

15:30 hrs              Stop at Shopping Center (MBK)

17.30hrs               Back to hotel
